Backend Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Uruguay.

📋 Description

• Design and execute multi-file coding tasks involving bug fixes, feature enhancements, refactoring, and testing.

• Create clear specifications in natural language along with reference implementations.

• Develop and enhance unit and integration testing suites.

• Evaluate peer-generated tasks for accuracy, clarity, and feasibility.

• Identify edge cases, ambiguities, and potential failure scenarios.

• Ensure consistency among specifications, code, and anticipated outputs.

• Generate high-quality, production-like coding assignments.

• Produce complete and accurate reference implementations.

• Deliver comprehensive test coverage and validation documentation.

• Provide structured and actionable feedback during peer reviews.

⛳️ Requirements

• Advanced professional proficiency in written English.

• 3 to 7 years of experience in professional software engineering.

• Strong expertise in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript.

• Familiarity with Java, C#, or Go.

• Experience in backend or full-stack development within production systems.

• Knowledge of testing frameworks such as pytest, Jest, JUnit, xUnit, or Go testing.

• Demonstrated ability to debug and navigate extensive multi-file codebases.

• Experience in code reviews, refactoring, and production migrations.
