Backend Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Design and execute multi-file coding assignments that include bug fixes, feature enhancements, refactoring, and testing.

• Create clear specifications in natural language along with reference implementations.

• Develop and enhance unit and integration test suites.

• Review tasks generated by peers for accuracy, clarity, and practicality.

• Identify edge cases, ambiguities, and possible failure scenarios.

• Ensure consistency between specifications, code, and expected outcomes.

• Create and assess realistic software engineering tasks for a prominent AI laboratory.

• Generate high-quality, production-like coding tasks.

• Deliver complete and accurate reference implementations.

• Produce thorough test coverage and validation documents.

• Offer structured, actionable feedback during peer reviews.

⛳️ Requirements

• Advanced professional written proficiency in English.

• 3–7 years of experience in professional software engineering.

• Strong skills in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript.

• Familiarity with Java, C#, or Go.

• Experience in backend or full-stack development within production systems.

• Knowledge of testing frameworks such as pytest, Jest, JUnit, xUnit, or Go testing.

• Proven capability to debug and navigate extensive, multi-file codebases.

• Experience with code reviews, refactoring, and production migrations.
