Backend Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Chile.

📋 Description

• Design and execute multi-file programming tasks encompassing bug fixes, feature enhancements, refactoring, and testing.

• Create clear specifications in natural language along with reference implementations.

• Develop and enhance unit and integration testing suites.

• Review tasks generated by peers for accuracy, clarity, and feasibility.

• Identify edge cases, ambiguities, and potential failure points.

• Ensure consistency between specifications, code, and anticipated outputs.

• Construct and assess realistic software engineering tasks for a prominent AI Lab.

• Generate high-quality coding tasks that simulate production environments.

• Deliver comprehensive and accurate reference implementations.

• Create thorough test coverage and validation documentation.

• Provide structured and constructive feedback during peer reviews.

⛳️ Requirements

• Advanced professional written proficiency in English.

• 3–7 years of professional experience in software engineering.

• Strong command of Python along with JavaScript/TypeScript.

• Familiarity with Java, C#, or Go.

• Experience in backend or full-stack development within production systems.

• Proficiency with testing frameworks such as pytest, Jest, JUnit, xUnit, or Go testing.

• Demonstrated ability to debug and navigate extensive, multi-file codebases.

• Experience with code reviews, refactoring, and transitions to production environments.

• Must reside in Chile.
