Back-End Developer – Junior/Mid-Level

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design, maintain, and improve applications and services in line with the technical and architectural standards set by the team.

• Produce clean, well-organized, testable, and maintainable code.

• Engage in code reviews, accepting and integrating feedback.

• Assist in the creation and upkeep of unit, integration, and other relevant tests.

• Utilize artificial intelligence tools and assisted development resources for analysis, implementation, testing, documentation, and troubleshooting, while critically validating the outcomes.

• Investigate bugs, failures, and unexpected behaviors to identify their root causes.

• Employ logs, metrics, and monitoring tools to analyze incidents.

• Explore theories and various strategies to address problems.

• Aid in the resolution of incidents and production challenges.

• Collaborate effectively with developers and other product teams.

• Take part in technical discussions, refinement sessions, and alignment meetings.

• Commit to continuous learning and share insights with the team.

• Participate in analyzing and decomposing requirements into technical tasks.

• Identify and communicate blockers, inquiries, and risks.

• Contribute to code enhancements and refactoring efforts.

• Assist in documenting workflows, features, and technical decisions.

• Collaborate on creating solutions that meet business needs, with a focus on product quality, maintainability, and evolution.

⛳️ Requirements

• Prior experience in software development, ideally within the Junior to Mid-Level range.

• Around 3 years of practical experience in software development.

• Professional or relevant project experience with Node.js, Go, PHP, Rust, or a comparable language.

• Familiarity with or eagerness to learn other languages and technologies, including Go, Node.js, PHP, and Rust.

• Understanding of APIs, services, and system integration principles.

• Knowledge of Git and code version control practices.

• Experience or knowledge in bug investigation and resolution.

• Awareness of automated testing and best practices in software development.

• Interest in observability, log analysis, monitoring, and understanding system operations.

• Interest in leveraging artificial intelligence tools to enhance the development process.

• Nice to have: experience with distributed systems or environments with numerous services.

• Nice to have: experience with observability, logging, metrics, or monitoring tools.

• Nice to have: proficiency in more than one of the languages utilized in the environment.

• Nice to have: experience with automated testing and software quality practices.

• Nice to have: involvement in personal projects, studies, or learning initiatives related to new languages and technologies.
