Azure Platform Engineer – APIM

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Construct, manage, and refine the Azure API Management (APIM)-based Internal API Platform.

• Architect and develop the Enterprise Context Gateway to securely and govern the integration of AI agents and enterprise services.

• Create and enhance Infrastructure as Code solutions and CI/CD pipelines utilizing Azure DevOps.

• Ensure the platform maintains security, reliability, scalability, resilience, and high availability.

• Facilitate access to enterprise data, tools, and MCP services to support the bank's shift towards an AI-native architecture.

• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and cross-functional teams to enhance the integration ecosystem.

• Develop and sustain self-service tools for developers.

• Implement automated and compliant deployment processes that adhere to enterprise standards.

• Monitor, diagnose, and optimize the performance and operational stability of the platform.

• Participate in a 24/7 on-call/standby rotation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in setting up, managing, and optimizing Microsoft Azure infrastructure.

• Practical experience in managing CI/CD pipelines.

• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code using ARM templates and Bicep within Azure DevOps.

• Strong grasp of security-by-design principles.

• Knowledge of secure API development practices.

• Understanding of cloud compliance requirements.

• Experience with integrating and consuming RESTful APIs.

• Willingness to engage in 24/7 standby/on-call support duties.

• Ability to work fluently and effectively in an English-speaking team environment.

• 8 to 20 years of relevant experience.

• Preferred experience in enabling and implementing Agentic AI solutions using protocols like Model Context Protocol (MCP).
