Azure Infrastructure Database Administrator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee, configure, monitor, and resolve issues related to Microsoft Azure infrastructure and cloud resources.

• Provision and manage Azure compute and storage services, which include virtual machines, managed disks, storage accounts, and Azure Files.

• Provide support for Azure networking, encompassing virtual networks, subnets, security groups, private endpoints, routing, and connectivity.

• Manage Azure identity and access controls, including RBAC and Microsoft Entra ID.

• Create and maintain Infrastructure as Code solutions utilizing Terraform or similar technologies.

• Automate processes for infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployment.

• Monitor the performance, availability, capacity, and security of infrastructure.

• Investigate issues and conduct root-cause analysis.

• Assist with backup, recovery, patching, disaster recovery, and ensure infrastructure resiliency.

• Keep technical documentation, configuration standards, and operational procedures up to date.

• Collaborate with engineering, cybersecurity, application, and operations teams.

• Offer technical guidance and mentorship when appropriate.

⛳️ Requirements

• Practical experience in administering Microsoft Azure infrastructure within an enterprise setting.

• Comprehensive understanding of Azure compute and storage concepts and services.

• Experience in provisioning, configuring, monitoring, and troubleshooting Azure resources.

• Familiarity with Azure networking, identity and access management, security, backup, and recovery.

• Experience supporting Windows and/or Linux workloads in Azure.

• Proficiency in scripting, automation, or Infrastructure as Code technologies.

• Excellent technical troubleshooting and analytical skills.

• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

• A Microsoft Azure role-based certification beyond the Fundamentals (AZ-900) level is preferred.

• Hands-on experience with Terraform is preferred.

• Experience with Azure CLI, PowerShell, or similar scripting and automation tools is preferred.

• Familiarity with integrating Infrastructure as Code with CI/CD or DevSecOps pipelines is preferred.

• Experience in supporting large-scale enterprise or government cloud environments is preferred.
