Awards Management Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist the Awards Management team in reviewing and overseeing terms and conditions for both potential opportunities and granted contracts and awards.

• Ensure the effective management and adherence to compliance standards for awards funded by private philanthropic foundations, corporations, and foreign governments.

• Support processes for assigned awards to guarantee compliance with award terms, relevant regulations, and Winrock International policies.

• Investigate and clarify award compliance requirements and provide counsel to the Awards Management team on suitable solutions.

• Create guidance documents and other compliance resources.

• Offer advice and identify areas for improvement to ensure uniform award functions throughout the global organization.

• Coordinate the creation, review, and revision of award documents and assist in negotiating award terms.

• Prepare and present award briefs that advise on compliance obligations.

• Develop sub-agreement templates that meet funder requirements.

• Suggest risk mitigation strategies and solutions to project staff.

• Stay updated on industry developments through resources, publications, and ongoing education.

• Conduct training and refresher sessions on pertinent topics.

• Undertake additional related responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• In-depth knowledge of the international development donor landscape.

• Capability to interpret various donor regulations, evaluate contractual risks, and formulate practical compliance strategies.

• Experience in managing awards from private foundations and corporate donors.

• Proficiency in negotiating and administering grant agreements.

• Experience in ensuring donor compliance and supporting reporting obligations.

• Background in managing amendments and advising project teams on philanthropic and corporate funding criteria.

• Familiarity with foreign government and multilateral development bank funding regulations, as well as those from international organizations.

• Understanding of compliance frameworks and contractual obligations for the World Bank, Asian Development Bank, African Development Bank, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, Inter-American Development Bank, United Nations agencies, Green Climate Fund, Global Environment Facility, and other international financial institutions.
