This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Identify new business prospects and enhance relationships with current clients and brokers.
β’ Discover opportunities for cross-selling, upselling, account rounding, and reclaiming lost accounts.
β’ Generate fresh business leads through networking, referrals, industry relationships, prospecting, and analyzing lost accounts.
β’ Develop and promote sales campaigns, initiatives, and market outreach activities.
β’ Advocate for Ryan Specialty Benefits' employee benefits solutions to distribution partners and clients.
β’ Conduct client reviews and maintain proactive communication to ensure satisfaction and explore growth opportunities.
β’ Review policies, endorsements, billing records, policy modifications, and relevant documentation in agency management systems.
β’ Assist with renewal processes, stewardship, and prospect presentations.
β’ Coordinate policy binding, renewals, reissuance, and account servicing.
β’ Obtain quotes from insurance company underwriters and carrier partners.
β’ Collect and organize underwriting information for new business and renewals.
β’ Assess carrier proposals and coverage alternatives.
β’ Collaborate with underwriting, actuarial, clinical, pharmacy, and product specialists.
β’ Maintain records of sales activities, client interactions, accounts, and pipelines in CRM and agency management systems.
β’ Monitor sales performance metrics and assist with reporting.
β’ Stay updated on industry trends, healthcare market changes, carrier modifications, and regulatory updates.
β’ Ensure adherence to company policies, licensing requirements, and insurance regulations.
β’ Bachelor's Degree in Business, Risk Management, Insurance, Employee Benefits, Finance, or a related field with 5+ years of relevant experience; or proven success in business development, account management, employee benefits sales, underwriting support, carrier management, or a similar client-facing position.
β’ Active State Life & Health Insurance License is required.
β’ Additional state licenses may be necessary depending on territory and job responsibilities.
β’ Experience with multiple carrier quoting, rating, and underwriting platforms.
β’ Retail brokerage, benefits consulting, agency, or wholesale benefits experience is highly preferred.
β’ Familiarity with self-funded health plans, stop-loss insurance, captives, ancillary benefits, and employee benefits products is preferred.
β’ Skills in business development.
β’ Account management expertise.
β’ Proficiency in relationship building.
β’ Knowledge of the employee benefits industry.
β’ Competence in consultative selling.
β’ Strategies for customer retention.
β’ Management of sales pipelines.
β’ Strong external communication skills.
