This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Oversee SFO-wide airline and space-tenant initiatives
• Establish strategies, policies, and operational guidelines for the allocation and management of terminal, gate, and facility spaces
• Ensure tenant adherence to lease agreements, Airport Rules and Regulations, and relevant policies
• Manage intricate lease negotiations, landlord relations, and property management activities
• Design and implement tenant space programs that align facility design, leasing, operational requirements, and stakeholder priorities
• Provide strategic and operational oversight for the Airport Space Request System
• Identify and lead aviation and land-use business development prospects while assessing complex proposals
• Oversee negotiations for property acquisition for aviation use alongside the Department of Real Estate and City stakeholders
• Direct agreements related to right-of-way, permits, and other property arrangements
• Counsel executive management on commercial agreements, property utilization, and Airport development plans
• Supervise aviation business development, initiatives that generate revenue, and operations related to public and employee parking
• Guide, develop, mentor, and manage direct reports, including conducting performance reviews and addressing performance issues
• Manage policies, procedures, compliance, and governance associated with space usage and allocation
• Perform additional duties as outlined in the 0941 Manager VI job classification
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
• Four years of managerial experience in a supervisory role
• Four years of experience in infrastructure management within a large organization
• Alternatively, a Master’s degree can replace up to one year of the required experience
• Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis for up to two years
• Must fulfill minimum qualifications by the final filing date
• Must successfully complete the Supplemental Questionnaire Examination
• Subject to a criminal history record check, including FBI fingerprints
• Must undergo a Transportation Security Administration Security Threat Assessment and obtain and maintain security clearance
• Eligibility for unescorted access to the SFO U.S. Customs Security Area is required
• Must apply for, achieve, and retain a Customs Access Seal following the commencement of employment
• Experience in negotiating airline-airport lease and use agreements is preferred
• Strong skills in negotiation and communication are preferred
• A collaborative leadership approach is preferred
• High standards of ethics, integrity, and professionalism are preferred
• Ability to engage with diverse audiences and stakeholders is preferred
