AV Systems Programmer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Create, configure, and sustain audio-visual control system applications tailored for enterprise solutions.

• Design and program AV control platforms, ensuring seamless integration of hardware and software components.

• Develop control system programming and user experience for AV systems.

• Craft control system programs aimed at enhancing healthcare workflows.

• Build reusable code modules and maintain a comprehensive code library.

• Perform system testing, debugging, and quality assurance prior to deployment.

• Provide technical documentation, user manuals, and training for end-users and support teams.

• Develop and sustain APIs and automation scripts utilizing Python, C#, and JavaScript.

• Construct web-based interfaces and dashboards using HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks.

• Create RESTful APIs and backend services through Node.js and Express.js.

• Program and troubleshoot device communication employing Telnet, RS-232, RS-485, and IP protocols.

• Implement control logic for contact closures and relay-based AV automation devices.

• Configure network settings for AV devices, including Cisco switches, servers, and workstations.

• Offer on-site or remote troubleshooting support to healthcare facilities.

• Set up and integrate switchers, DSPs, projectors, and video conferencing systems.

• Implement AV-over-IP solutions and address network-related issues.

• Collaborate with integration planners, engineers, and teams to ensure system compatibility and optimal performance.

• Stay updated with emerging AV technologies and programming standards.

• Willingness to travel up to 10%.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.

• Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.

• A minimum of 1 year of related experience is favored.

• Basic knowledge of Python, Node.js, and REST API is essential.

• Familiarity with computers and IP networking systems is required.

• Understanding of web-based interfaces and dashboards utilizing HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks is beneficial.

• Experience with audio mixing consoles (both digital and analog), wired and wireless microphones, graphic and parametric equalizers, compressors, gates, and audio effects processors is desirable.

• Advanced comprehension of audio signal flow and routing is necessary.

• Experience in configuring and operating IMAG and projection equipment, along with video routing/switching equipment, is advantageous.
