
Automation Sales Representative

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +7 more states.
• Collaborate with the Field Application Specialist and Field Project Manager to deliver both standard and customized automated solutions.
• Assist clients in reaching their research objectives across a diverse array of applications.
• Develop and execute a comprehensive annual sales plan that outlines goals, opportunities, key clients, and regional events.
• Engage in customer site visits, phone interactions, trade shows, product demonstrations, customer seminars, and channel management activities.
• Organize training sessions for distributors.
• Provide monthly sales forecasts and ensure accurate and timely management of funnel details.
• Support the upkeep of a customer mailing list for the designated territory.
• Gather and report on competitive activities within the assigned territory using Salesforce CRM.
• Report to the Automation Regional Manager.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Over 2 years of experience in Life Sciences and/or Academic/Government sales, or other Technical/Capital equipment sales.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
• Knowledge of tactical sales techniques, including prospecting, qualifying, closing, and expanding existing customer relationships.
• Proven success record, preferably in Life Science, Government, Academic sales, or other Technical/Capital equipment sales.
• Strong time and territory management skills.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and the capability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Experience with distribution channels is preferred.
• Proficiency in using personal computers, email, Microsoft Office Suite, and CRM/SFDC systems is preferred.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%, which may include overnight stays within the territory or elsewhere.
• Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
• Capability to perform moderate physical tasks, including lifting and carrying materials.
