This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Become a part of ASRC Federal's Software, Applications, and Analytics Center of Excellence.
• Develop cloud-based analytics solutions for the government customer NOAA.
• Utilize automated testing tools such as WebdriverIO, Axe, Allure, Selenium, Playwright, and Cypress.
• Design and improve automated test suites for end-to-end system, regression, acceptance, 508 compliance, performance, and scalability testing.
• Collaborate within an enterprise software development team, potentially dividing time between working directly on customer systems and addressing customer challenges.
• Create custom cloud-based backend applications for NOAA's Financial Management Data System.
• Work with geographically distributed development teams and customers.
• Support software solutions that incorporate DevSecOps, microservices, RESTful APIs, and AI/ML technologies.
• Engage regularly with various levels of the NOAA organization, including Senior Executives.
• Evaluate business and technical requirements with potential customers and internal teams.
• Bachelor’s Degree with 5-7 years of relevant experience; advanced degrees may substitute for experience: Masters = 2 years, Doctorate = 6 years.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 3-5+ years of experience in JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or Python programming languages.
• Technical expertise and experience with WebDriverIO, Cypress, or similar end-to-end QA automation tools.
• Experience utilizing AI tools to improve and maintain automated test scripts.
• Background in a large-scale software testing and verification environment.
• Familiarity with 508 compliance automated testing using frameworks like Axe, Cypress, or similar, along with a reporting tool like Allure.
• Ability to quickly learn and work collaboratively with others in a geographically dispersed team.
• Experience with Agile workflow methodologies.
• Proficiency in web-based frameworks such as React.
• Experience in automated testing and performance evaluation strategies for microservices.
• Understanding of cloud-based technologies and architectures.
• Exposure to AWS, including CodeBuild and CloudFormation, Node.js, Linux/WSL, and CI/CD environments.
• Highly organized and punctual.
• Capability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced work environment.
• Ability to comprehend and prioritize customer needs.
• Initiative to take action independently after receiving general guidance/direction.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Outstanding organizational skills.
• US Citizen eligible to obtain a Public Trust Clearance required.
• Proven expertise in Federal Government Data Science.
• Commitment to NOAA's mission; prior experience with NOAA is highly preferred.
• Preferred: experience collaborating with potential customers and internal teams to assess business and technical requirements.
• Knowledge of Agile Methodology, Design for Testability, Application Security, and Data Security.
