AutoCAD Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines, +5 more countries.

📋 Description

• Import, attach, and oversee MatterPak point cloud data as external references within AutoCAD.

• Utilize horizontal and vertical slice planes to isolate point cloud data and outline walls, door openings and swings, window sills, soffits, floor drains, and structural columns.

• Source and integrate commercial kitchen equipment blocks from the Kitchen CAD Library (KCL) into floor plans.

• Confirm traced dimensions against point cloud data and arrange geometry on the appropriate CAD layers using established naming conventions.

• Create clear, construction-ready drawing sets, which include electrical, lighting, plumbing, tile layout, cabinetry, and finish schedules based on field measurements and sketches.

• Draft custom cabinetry and millwork elevations with exact dimensional precision.

• Construct detailed 3D spatial models and produce realistic renderings using SketchUp.

• Review drawings to identify clearance issues, dimension conflicts, or constructability errors prior to plans being implemented in the field.

⛳️ Requirements

• Advanced, expert-level proficiency in the latest versions of AutoCAD for 2D drafting, layer organization, and xRef management.

• Practical experience in importing and manipulating point cloud data with Autodesk ReCap Pro (or similar point cloud viewers) and basic knowledge of Matterport scan outputs.

• Strong skills in SketchUp for 3D modeling and photorealistic rendering.

• Familiarity with KCL (Kitchen CAD Library) is a significant advantage; the candidate must show the ability to learn quickly if not previously acquainted.

• Comfortable operating within shared cloud environments (Google Drive).

• Professional experience in Architectural Drafting, Interior Design, Foodservice/Restaurant Design, or Residential Construction Documentation.

• Comprehensive understanding of the physical construction of residential interiors and commercial kitchens, including clearance, dimension, and detail accuracy.

• Meticulous attention to dimensional accuracy, point cloud interpretation, differentiating true geometry from point noise, and maintaining layer discipline.
