This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Oversee intricate vehicle relocation, storage, and lien-related disputes during the total loss claims process
• Evaluate and investigate RSLA referrals, as well as disputes involving vehicle relocation, towing, storage, and repair facilities
• Negotiate with tow yards, storage facilities, repair shops, legal representatives, and other relevant parties
• Create strategies for achieving timely and cost-efficient resolutions for claims
• Maintain comprehensive file documentation, including negotiation history and rationale for decisions within claims systems
• Analyze charges related to storage, towing, and other relevant services to pinpoint cost-reduction opportunities
• Conduct cost-benefit evaluations and suggest options for dispute resolution
• Influence external vendors and stakeholders to secure favorable results
• Escalate issues that require management review, providing recommendations backed by financial analysis
• Coordinate activities related to litigation and support the Payment into Court process
• Prepare necessary documentation for legal review and court proceedings
• Collaborate with both internal and external legal partners on litigated files
• Monitor recovery opportunities and manage transactions for return of funds
• Collaborate with Total Loss, Salvage, Finance, Legal, and other Claims teams on strategic file management
• Provide technical expertise on RSLA legislation, towing procedures, and storage disputes
• Assist in process improvement, reporting, governance, and tracking activities
• Observe trends and identify opportunities to lower claim costs, enhance cycle times, and strengthen operational controls
• Experience in claims handling, ideally in Auto Claims, Total Loss, Subrogation, Salvage, or Litigation
• Strong negotiation and conflict resolution capabilities
• Proficient in reviewing financial exposure and performing cost-benefit analyses
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage time effectively
• Capability to juggle multiple competing priorities in a dynamic environment
• Preferred knowledge of the Repair and Storage Liens Act (RSLA) and vehicle relocation protocols
• Experience collaborating with legal counsel, court processes, or managing litigation is preferred
• Background in Total Loss, Salvage, Subrogation, Recovery, or related claims disciplines is preferred
• Advanced analytical and reporting skills are preferred
