Audit Director – National Assurance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +9 more states.

📋 Description

• Engage and work collaboratively with individuals at all levels within the Firm and occasionally with clients.

• Conduct quality control assessments of assurance engagements.

• Evaluate observations and findings, performing root cause analysis.

• Work proactively to create process enhancements.

• Act as a technical resource for engagement teams by providing research and guidance on professional standards and generally accepted accounting principles.

• Assist in the development and maintenance of assurance methodologies and practice aids for new standards and related educational resources.

• Generate thought leadership content for both internal and external audiences.

• Support the Private Industries sector, which includes Real Estate, Retail, Healthcare, and/or International.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• A minimum of 6 years of experience in a public accounting setting or equivalent.

• CPA certification or equivalent qualification.

• Proven supervisory experience in driving strategic management.

• Up-to-date knowledge of professional standards, FASB, and GAAS.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.

• Strong analytical and decision-making skills.

• Capability to convey complex concepts to engagement teams and clients effectively.

• Proficiency in utilizing various assurance research tools.

• Competence in collaborating effectively on technical accounting and assurance issues.
