Associate Vice President – Partnerships

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee BBYO’s strategy for engaging with congregations and Jewish community partners.

• Develop relationships with clergy, educators, synagogue movements, alumni, and various stakeholders.

• Manage and enhance key partner relationships while creating collaborative opportunities that connect teens and families to BBYO programs and communities.

• Identify methods for synagogues and congregational partners to integrate BBYO into their strategies for teen engagement, leadership, learning, recruitment, family involvement, travel, summer programs, and immersive experiences.

• Establish, strengthen, and maintain partnerships with local congregations alongside regional Community Impact professionals.

• Create scalable partnership models, resources, toolkits, presentations, and training materials.

• Sustain and activate a network of organizations, alumni, educators, thought leaders, and talent via the International Leadership Network.

• Collaborate across various departments including Movement Experiences, Jewish Enrichment, Teen Leadership, Passport, Camp Leadership, alumni relations, Marketing, Philanthropic Engagement, and regional teams.

• Represent BBYO at conferences, rabbinic gatherings, synagogue movement meetings, professional networks, community forums, and related events.

• Monitor partnership activities, engagement metrics, recruitment outcomes, program participation, and potential growth opportunities.

• Utilize data, partner feedback, teen feedback, and evaluations to assess effectiveness and enhance partnership models.

• Discover new partnership opportunities that contribute value, expertise, visibility, resources, and credibility.

• Investigate philanthropic support, grants, sponsorships, and strategic investments.

• Evaluate success through partnership growth, referrals, participation, engagement, scalable models, stakeholder feedback, and internal coordination.

• Execute additional responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• 15+ years of progressively responsible experience in Jewish communal service, congregational engagement, teen engagement, partnerships, program strategy, relationship management, business development, nonprofit leadership, or a related field.

• Proven success in building partnerships and managing external relationships that yield measurable growth or impact.

• Experience collaborating with synagogues, clergy, Jewish educators, Jewish communal organizations, camps, foundations, schools, youth-serving organizations, or teen engagement initiatives.

• Skilled in designing or supporting scalable partnership models, partner resources, training, or engagement strategies.

• Supervisory experience with staff, consultants, projects, or cross-functional initiatives is preferred.

• Familiarity with AZA/BBG, BBYO regional experiences, International Convention, summer programs, travel experiences, or immersive Jewish teen experiences is preferred but not mandatory.

• Bachelor’s degree is required.

• An advanced degree is preferred.

• Rabbinic ordination, cantorial ordination, or substantial senior Jewish educational leadership experience is desired but not required.

• Willingness to travel nationally as necessary, approximately 25% of the time.

• Availability to attend major BBYO events, including conferences, conventions, retreats, leadership meetings, regional visits, and selected summer experiences.

• Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends.

• Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship, now or in the future.

• Capability to perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Strong skills in strategic relationship-building, communication, facilitation, collaboration, project management, organization, problem-solving, and data-informed decision-making.

• Experience managing budgets, partnerships, and systems.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, Salesforce, Airtable, and other relationship, project, and outcome management systems.
