This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
β’ Oversee the property management operations for the designated portfolio.
β’ Manage the daily operational strategy and performance of a multi-asset portfolio while ensuring a consistent presence on-site across all properties.
β’ Convert asset-level business plans into operational priorities, measurable goals, and effective follow-up.
β’ Collaborate with Construction, Asset Management, and on-site teams to address critical building needs, risks, construction plans, and any disruptions to residents and leasing.
β’ Implement portfolio governance through KPI scorecards, risk assessments, and operational recommendations to Executive Management and ownership.
β’ Make informed decisions regarding pricing strategies, concessions, staffing, vendor relations, capital priorities, and corrective measures.
β’ Lead, recruit, develop, and retain high-performing management teams.
β’ Develop strategic plans for each asset and provide financial updates and variance analyses to Executive Management.
β’ Direct leasing and occupancy strategies, including pricing, concessions, marketing, traffic conversion, resident retention, and unit readiness.
β’ Supervise resident experience, reputation management, resident sentiment, service recovery, and community relations.
β’ Ensure regulatory compliance, life-safety preparedness, business continuity, insurance-related risk mitigation, and audit resolution.
β’ Direct vendor and procurement strategies, contract performance, service-level accountability, and portfolio-level cost efficiencies.
β’ Guide organizational change, asset integration, and operational stabilization during acquisitions, transitions, renovations, and leadership shifts.
β’ Collaborate on budgets, forecasts, marketing strategies, staffing plans, and capital initiatives.
β’ Review financial statements, cash flow, budgets, forecasts, general ledger activities, variance explanations, and operational results.
β’ Report on portfolio performance to Executive Management and devise reforecasting strategies.
β’ A minimum of ten years of multifamily property management experience, including senior leadership roles in complex multifamily operations.
β’ Proven track record in leading lease-up environments, ideally involving high-rise, transitional, financially or physically challenged, or underperforming assets.
β’ Strong accounting background with advanced knowledge of property-level financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, P&L analysis, and financial controls.
β’ Experience working collaboratively with Asset Management and maintaining an owner-focused approach.
β’ Demonstrated ability to identify performance issues, set priorities, and enhance execution in complex operating settings.
β’ Preferred experience in coordinating major capital, rehabilitation, or construction activities within occupied residential properties.
β’ Proven management skills with a history of team building and identifying, mentoring, and developing talent in both on-site and virtual environments.
β’ Experience with an institutional-grade owner or operator is essential.
β’ In-depth knowledge of financial operations, budgeting, and P&L analysis.
β’ Operating experience throughout the full investment cycle and across multiple asset classes, including acquisition due diligence, repositioning and rehabilitation, stabilized operations, and asset dispositions.
β’ Ability to effectively organize, prioritize, and manage multiple competing priorities using sound judgment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
β’ A Bachelorβs degree is required.
β’ Demonstrated capability to utilize and learn new technologies, including hardware, mobile devices, software, and cloud-based platforms.
β’ Proficiency with standard office technology.
β’ Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, including Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Stream.
