This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +24 more states.
• Direct the operational framework of the academic division.
• Supervise Academic Operations, Faculty Managers, and the Education Technology sectors.
• Convert strategic academic goals into scalable operational systems, administrative compliance, and educational technology.
• Establish and manage academic operations to ensure consistency, scalability, and efficiency.
• Implement strategic academic projects and educational technology initiatives in a compliant and timely manner.
• Guarantee operational integrity, optimize workflows, and deliver high-quality service.
• Develop and sustain academic workflows alongside continuous process enhancements.
• Set team priorities, deliverables, timelines, and performance benchmarks.
• Ensure that direct reports have well-defined responsibilities, procedures, and necessary resources.
• Oversee performance using metrics, expectations, and standardized policies.
• Provide training and resources, monitor progress, and adjust allocations as needed.
• Coordinate with academic teams and stakeholders for effective faculty management alignment.
• Collaborate with university leadership and cross-functional administrative units to streamline workflows and promote academic objectives.
• Foster relationships with higher education partners to drive technological innovation and operational excellence.
• Complete mandatory training and pursue opportunities for professional development.
• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.
• A Master’s degree is required.
• At least 7–10 years of experience in higher education, with a minimum of 7 years in a leadership capacity.
• Preferred experience in leading a team within a remote environment.
• Proven experience in higher education academic operations, instructional design strategies, and faculty development frameworks.
• Strong grasp of online education and best practices in online teaching and learning.
• Ability to analyze operational metrics and enhance resource allocation.
• Experience in managing complex, multi-phase academic projects and organizational transformations.
• Basic skills in operational budget management, resource forecasting, and risk mitigation within an academic context.
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication capabilities.
• Experience in leading, mentoring, and achieving consensus within geographically distributed teams.
• Strong skills in talent development and performance management.
• Familiarity with accreditation processes and regulatory requirements in higher education.
• High emotional intelligence and analytical conflict-resolution abilities.
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite is required.
• Research skills are essential.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common journals and legal documents.
• Capability to apply fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to real-world situations.
• Ability to identify problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Must provide proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.
