Director, Capital Markets Operations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Provide strategic direction for capital markets activities that support reverse mortgage portfolios.

• Oversee HECM remediation initiatives by identifying loan deficiencies, managing corrective action plans, and ensuring prompt resolution of FHA, HUD, and Ginnie Mae compliance issues.

• Collaborate with other departments and third-party entities to fulfill requests and enhance process efficiencies.

• Assist in the execution of HECM securitizations, loan sales, and associated capital markets transactions.

• Track changes in FHA, Ginnie Mae, and investor requirements that impact reverse mortgage products.

• Maintain a strong understanding of FHA reverse mortgage regulations, HECM program requirements, and investor guidelines.

• Lead operational processes that facilitate HECM delivery and capital markets execution.

• Propel continuous improvement initiatives in processes and execution.

• Ensure timely transition of loans into HMBS pools or investor delivery channels.

• Allocate resources effectively and instill accountability in direct reports to ensure results are achieved.

• Optimize loan sale strategies and nurture investor relationships.

• Mitigate operational, financial, and reputational risks.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree is required.

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in the mortgage industry.

• At least 5 years of experience in capital markets.

• Familiarity with GNMA, Agency TBA buy/sell sides, Non-Agency private placements, and HMBS markets.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in analyzing, trading, and managing securitization products.

• Expertise in custom/specification trading.

• Preferably experience with MBS derivatives and Mortgage Servicing Rights.

• Demonstrated ability to tackle complex technical, administrative, and managerial challenges.

• Must successfully pass the Company’s Background Screening process before commencing employment.

• May need to meet client-specific background check requirements or Federal/State licensing requirements, if applicable.
