Associate Therapist – Complex Care

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Provide individual therapy for children, adolescents, and adults

• Conduct 5-7 client sessions lasting over 53 minutes each day

• Perform comprehensive assessments for individuals recently released from emergency room environments

• Identify subsequent steps for ongoing treatment

• Treat and oversee clients mandated by the Mental Health Diversion court

• Deliver evidence-based mental health services

• Develop and manage treatment plans along with clinical documentation

• Engage in weekly supervision and team discussions

• Attend two units of supervision and internal meetings as required

• Collaborate with psychiatry providers and extended care teams

• Ensure timely and compliant documentation within the EHR

• Complete follow-up appointment documentation within 24 hours

• Finalize initial appointment documentation within 48 hours

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be eligible to work in California

• Active Associate license in California (AMFT, APCC, or ACSW)

• Master’s degree in Social Work, MFT, or Counseling

• Degree in Social Work must be accredited by CSWE

• Experience with CBT, DBT, and trauma-informed care

• EMDR or a specialized clinical niche is preferred

• Capability to manage emotionally intense sessions

• Access to a quiet, confidential workspace with reliable internet

• Experience in higher levels of care, including psychiatric hospital care, community-based services, prison settings, IOP, SUD facilities, or partial hospitalization programs

• Ability to adhere to a structured Monday-Friday schedule from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM

• Capacity to maintain a full caseload of up to 32-33 clients weekly
