DBT Therapist for Adolescents – Licensed, Telehealth, Full-Time

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Deliver individual DBT and DBT skills groups through live video sessions to adult clients.

• Assign digital lessons, videos, and assessments relevant to DBT.

• Enhance client understanding and track progress between sessions.

• Provide culturally sensitive care to clients from various backgrounds and with differing needs and abilities.

• Participate in weekly consultation team meetings.

• Engage in one-on-one consultation sessions with an expert DBT team leader.

• Co-facilitate DBT skills groups alongside other DBT providers.

• Attend comprehensive training to improve clinical skills.

• Offer evidence-based mental health services through Lyra Care Therapy.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must hold an unrestricted, active Massachusetts license, capable of working independently without supervision from a licensed supervisor, and free from any current or pending disciplinary actions.

• Formal didactic training in DBT is mandatory.

• At least one year of experience providing comprehensive DBT to adolescents, which includes individual DBT therapy through Stage 1, facilitating skills groups using Linehan materials, participating in consultation teams, and skills coaching.

• DBT-LBC certification is preferred but not essential.

• Experience and comfort in working with clients exhibiting high-risk behaviors, including suicidal ideation and/or self-injury.

• Willingness to obtain cross-licensing in additional states as necessary.

• Experience in delivering telehealth therapy services in a virtual setting is preferred but not required.

• Proficiency in using computer and live video tools such as Zoom, Google Meets, DoxyMe, and Skype.
