This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assess responses to assessment questions from teacher candidates in Illinois and New York.

• Familiarize yourself with scoring standards.

• Engage in discussions and collaborate with fellow scorers during consensus scoring activities.

• Identify and address implicit biases such as cultural, leniency, central tendency, and halo-effect biases.

• Implement techniques to minimize personal biases in the scoring process.

• Fulfill the quality and productivity expectations set for the scoring program.

• Complete required training prior to commencing scoring activities.

• Attend a short orientation meeting if one is scheduled.

• Score intermittently during sessions held Monday through Friday, two to three times a year, typically from 8:30 a.m. to around 4:30 p.m., including training sessions.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree or higher is required.

• A valid teaching certification in the language you are applying for is necessary.

• Must currently be teaching or have taught in public or private schools within the last three years, including regular substitute teaching; alternatively, be a current or former educator from a college or university with a degree in a relevant field and/or have taught or advised in a relevant field within the last three years; or be a native or fluent speaker of the language (reading, writing, and speaking) and possess a college degree.

• Basic computer proficiency (keyboard and mouse skills) is essential.

• Must be able to sit for prolonged periods.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality in the work environment is required.

• Must be eligible to work in the United States.

• Successfully pass a qualifying test prior to scoring.
