This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assess responses to examination questions submitted by teacher candidates from Illinois and New York, utilizing predefined scoring criteria.

• Complete necessary scorer training and calibration sessions prior to the commencement of scoring.

• Absorb scoring standards and engage in discussions related to scoring processes.

• Collaborate with fellow scorers in activities aimed at achieving consensus in scoring.

• Identify and address potential sources of scoring bias, including implicit, cultural, leniency, central tendency, and halo-effect biases.

• Fulfill the quality and productivity standards set for the scoring program.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree or higher is required.

• For K-12 educators: must possess a current teaching certification in the relevant language and have been actively teaching or have taught in a public or private school within the last three years, which includes regular substitute teaching roles.

• For higher education faculty or advisors: current or former college or university educators may qualify if they have a degree in a relevant content area and/or have taught or advised in a relevant field within the past three years.

• Must be a native or fluent speaker of Vietnamese, demonstrating proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking the language.

• Basic computer proficiency is required, including the ability to use a keyboard and mouse.

• Capability to sit for prolonged periods.

• Ability to uphold a confidential work environment.

• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

• Must successfully pass a qualifying test before commencing scoring.
