This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Assess the responses of Massachusetts teacher candidates to test questions.

• Assimilate scoring criteria and engage in collaborative discussions.

• Collaborate with fellow scorers in consensus scoring exercises.

• Identify and address implicit biases, including cultural, leniency, central tendency, and halo-effect biases.

• Implement techniques to mitigate personal biases during scoring.

• Fulfill the quality and productivity standards set forth for the scoring program.

• Participate in training and potentially an orientation prior to scoring.

• Attend scoring sessions one or two days every 4–8 weeks, with available hours ranging from 3 to 16.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree or higher is required.

• Possession of a current teaching certification in the relevant subject area.

• Must be actively practicing or have at least two (2) years of recent experience in a public school within the subject area, or have served recently as a college/university/program faculty member preparing candidates for the subject, or hold a bachelor's and/or master's degree while currently teaching courses in the subject area.

• Both active and recently retired educators may qualify to score.

• Basic computer skills, including proficiency with a keyboard and mouse.

• Capability to sit for extended durations.

• Ability to uphold a confidential work environment.

• Must be eligible to work in the United States.

• Requirement to pass a qualifying test prior to scoring.
