This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Assess responses to test questions from teacher candidates in New York.

• Internalize and understand the established scoring standards.

• Engage in discussions and consensus activities with fellow scorers.

• Identify and address implicit biases such as cultural, leniency, central tendency, and halo-effect biases.

• Implement strategies to mitigate personal biases during the scoring process.

• Meet the quality and productivity standards set by the scoring program.

• Complete the necessary training prior to the commencement of scoring.

• Attend a brief orientation meeting that may take place before the scoring day.

• Score intermittently one day every 8 weeks, from Monday to Friday, between 8:30 a.m. and approximately 4:30 p.m.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possess a current teaching certification in the relevant subject area.

• Must currently be teaching or have taught in public or private educational institutions within the last three years, including regular substitute teaching; OR be or have been an educator from a college or university who has taught or advised in a content-related field within the last three years; OR hold a degree in the content area and have professional experience related to the content within the last three years.

• Basic computer proficiency, including the use of a keyboard and mouse.

• Ability to sit for extended periods of time.

• Capacity to maintain a confidential work environment.

• Must be eligible to work in the United States.

• Required to pass a qualifying test prior to scoring.

• Relevant subjects include: Business, Health, School Counselor, or Theater.

• Active and recently retired practitioners may qualify.
