Associate Product Manager – Denials AI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.

📋 Description

• Plan, organize, and oversee the overall operations of the Production Coding Department and Charge Entry team in relation to billing, payer, and client policies and protocols.

• Ensure timely completion of all client coding for both onshore and offshore operations.

• Supervise the coding of all client services to guarantee accuracy and timeliness in collaboration with co-sourcing partners.

• Keep the team updated on billing and coding regulations.

• Monitor and guide the charge entry staff to uphold current status while meeting quality and quantity standards.

• Ensure that work queues are addressed promptly and accurately.

• Analyze coding denials and provide written feedback by practice to identify areas for improvement.

• Engage with and manage the coding team through regular productivity and quality assessments.

• Educate and train staff, assess performance, and track productivity.

• Interview, hire, train, assess, and develop subordinate staff as necessary.

• Create and maintain quality control programs, including individual performance evaluations.

• Onboard new hires and provide in-service training, continuing education, and development opportunities.

• Handle, protect, and disclose patients’ PHI in compliance with HIPAA standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• CPC certification.

• Over 5 years of experience in managing and leading a physician business office/professional services coding department.

• Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team setting.

• Must be dependable, responsible, goal-oriented, and adaptable.

• Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.

• High level of integrity, capable of handling sensitive or confidential information successfully.

• Ability to maintain poise, composure, and confidence under stressful or high-pressure situations.

• Occasional travel to client locations may be required.

• Capacity to follow directions, collaborate with others, and manage stress effectively.
