This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Take ownership of specific product initiatives, enhancements, assessments, or IDV workflows from the discovery phase through to launch and post-launch evaluation.
• Convert user, customer, operational, and technical requirements into product briefs, specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Collaborate with Design and Engineering teams to assess solution alternatives and clarify trade-offs.
• Engage in planning sessions, refinement meetings, demonstrations, and retrospectives.
• Organize and conduct product acceptance testing.
• Draft release notes, internal training materials, and product demonstrations.
• Manage post-launch follow-ups and suggest iterations, remedial actions, or end-of-lifecycle strategies.
• Analyze customer, applicant, and operational challenges using quantitative data, qualitative feedback, and workflow observations.
• Examine product health issues and propose appropriate actions.
• Perform customer, market, and competitor research and distill findings into actionable recommendations.
• Develop user journeys, process diagrams, or simple prototypes.
• Leverage AI tools to streamline research, synthesis, analysis, prototyping, requirements gathering, and workflow exploration.
• Enhance understanding of background-check fulfillment and IDV operations, third-party data sources, applicant experiences, and operational dependencies.
• Utilize product and operational data to inform prioritization decisions.
• Establish and track success metrics.
• Identify avenues for improving automation, completion and verification rates, turnaround times, reliability, operational efforts, support volumes, and gross margins.
• Provide insights and suggestions for roadmap planning.
• Foster collaborative relationships across Product, Design, Engineering, Operations, Compliance, Customer Support, GTM, and other stakeholders.
• Partner with external data providers, identity partners, and technology vendors regarding capabilities, APIs, limitations, dependencies, and integrations.
• Oversee stakeholder and operational testing.
• Relay decisions, risks, updates, and launch readiness status.
• Highlight significant risks, unresolved trade-offs, or decisions that exceed assigned responsibilities.
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience in a fast-paced tech environment.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Familiarity with the software development lifecycle.
• Background in SaaS sales, customer support, account management, or direct client engagement.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to follow through; capable of managing multiple defined workstreams while maintaining attention to detail.
• Proficient in Google/Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Certifications or specialized training in product management or related disciplines.
• Experience in B2B2C sectors.
• Participation in SCRUM and/or Agile methodologies.
• Project management experience.
• Ability to draft communications intended for clients.
• Familiarity with APIs, webhooks, integrations, data flows, or third-party technology/data providers.
• Experience with product analytics, experimentation, operational metrics, or structured root-cause analysis.
• Proficient in using AI tools to enhance product research, analysis, prototyping, or delivery workflows.
• The selected candidate must complete a background check.
