Associate Principal Engineer, Technical Product Owner – Banking

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Serve as the Proxy Product Owner, bridging the Channel Product Owner and the development squad.

• Convert product vision and requirements into actionable user stories and backlog items.

• Oversee, prioritize, and manage the channel development backlog.

• Facilitate Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.

• Act as the main point of contact for the development team regarding backlog and product-related inquiries.

• Collaborate with UX/UI, Engineering, and QA teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality features.

• Track sprint progress, manage changes, and communicate delivery status to stakeholders.

• Plan and manage software releases, deployments, and production rollouts.

• Coordinate release readiness across Development, QA, DevOps, Infrastructure, and Business teams.

• Manage release calendars, dependencies, UAT, production validation, and rollback plans.

• Ensure adherence to change management, governance, and auditing requirements.

• Identify and mitigate risks, issues, and dependencies related to releases.

• Monitor release performance, drive post-release reviews, and foster continuous improvement.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of total experience.

• Significant experience in Business Banking and Banking/Financial Services applications.

• Hands-on experience as a Technical Product Owner/Proxy Product Owner with strong exposure to SDLC.

• Extensive experience in Agile delivery, project scoping, backlog management, and prioritization.

• Experience with customer-facing Mobile/Digital Banking applications.

• Strong understanding of User Stories, acceptance criteria, Agile ceremonies, and squad delivery.

• Proficient in software releases, deployments, UAT, and production rollouts.

• Experience in coordinating Development, QA, DevOps, Infrastructure, and Business stakeholders.

• Knowledge of release calendars, dependencies, change management, governance, and auditing requirements.

• Strong skills in risk, issue, dependency, and stakeholder management.

• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with a capacity to drive initiatives independently.

• Experience in defining KPIs, monitoring delivery performance, and promoting continuous improvement.

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
