Principal Technical Product Manager, Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the platform strategy and roadmap for value-based care, encompassing decisions at the architecture level down to specific feature specifications.

• Lead the strategy for transitioning existing customers and workflows as the platform advances, which includes sequencing, risk management, and rollback strategies.

• Oversee delivery across various engineering teams and manage dependencies between teams.

• Assess data contracts, analyze technical trade-offs with engineering leads, and draft or refine specifications.

• Make and document product decisions amidst ambiguity and rapidly changing conditions.

• Collaborate directly with engineers and clinical as well as administrative end users to validate design concepts.

• Manage the scope and expectations of stakeholders, ranging from engineers to executive sponsors.

• Collaborate with engineering teams distributed globally, including regular early-morning sessions with offshore teams.

• Provide updates on progress, risks, and unresolved decisions on a consistent basis.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years in product management, with considerable experience overseeing platform-level or infrastructure-related products.

• Direct experience in leading a significant platform build and/or migration.

• Proven ability to coordinate delivery across multiple engineering teams, including those not directly managed.

• Comfort in navigating ambiguity and advancing decisions without a complete specification.

• Willingness to engage with details, including data models, technical trade-offs, and edge cases.

• Experience collaborating with globally distributed/offshore engineering teams and flexibility in scheduling.

• Strong written and verbal communication capabilities.

• Preferred: Background in healthcare technology, especially in areas like value-based care, risk adjustment, or quality measurement such as HEDIS or Stars.

• Preferred: Experience in developing or managing provider-facing software.

• Preferred: Familiarity with modular/service-oriented architectures and data contract-based system design.
