This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead a team of around five organizing staff members across various states and career levels.
• Drive team performance by establishing metrics, coaching for development, and holding staff accountable to collective campaign objectives.
• Provide guidance, mentorship, structure, feedback, and evaluations.
• Manage individual staff performance utilizing program metrics and tracking systems.
• Foster a safe, welcoming, inspiring, inclusive, and equitable team culture.
• Independently lead priority programs and campaigns or collaborate with organizational leadership.
• Offer strategic oversight for state field programs, campaign execution, and cross-department initiatives.
• Develop strategic turf plans with organizers to meet campaign and organizational objectives.
• Oversee team execution, deliver constructive feedback, create learning opportunities, and address performance gaps.
• Contribute to the development and enhancement of Indivisible’s organizing model and strategy.
• Identify best practices and collaborate with leadership to scale them.
• Highlight new departmental or organizational initiatives based on input from group leaders and staff.
• Travel up to 20% per year, based on work requirements.
• A minimum of 5–7 years/cycles of proven experience in developing and executing field strategies.
• Comprehensive understanding of grassroots and grasstops organizing.
• Capability to develop, implement, track, monitor, and evaluate field plans.
• Ability to troubleshoot and modify field plans as necessary.
• Competence in addressing complex challenges with actionable plans and innovative solutions.
• At least 3–5 years of demonstrated experience in managing others to achieve ambitious objectives.
• Strong history of meeting or surpassing goals.
• Strategic and analytical thinking abilities.
• Skillful in managing multiple work streams, prioritizing tasks, and solving problems in complex scenarios.
• Ability to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic grassroots campaign environment while handling a substantial workload.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and effective communication.
• Adaptable, respectful, collaborative, and flexible work style.
• Ability to establish trust with diverse staff, volunteers, and field partners.
• Proven experience in mentorship, coaching, and leadership development.
• Awareness of race, gender, sexuality, identity, and their intersections in the work.
• Self-awareness of various group identities and related dynamics.
• Experience in organizing within communities of color and/or fostering multiracial organizing efforts.
• Prior training in anti-oppression, equity, and inclusion.
