This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Act as the internal authority regarding U.S. GAAP.
β’ Facilitate technical accounting training throughout the organization.
β’ Assess monthly close workpapers, reconciliations, and financial statements for precision, completeness, adherence to U.S. GAAP, and firm policies.
β’ Analyze support for significant balances, estimates, unusual transactions, and accounting conclusions.
β’ Document review feedback, articulate accounting rationale, follow up with preparers, and ensure corrections are made.
β’ Examine year-end schedules and related workpapers for external audits.
β’ Assist engagement teams in addressing accounting inquiries and enhancing audit readiness.
β’ Monitor review status and recurring issues; communicate results and capacity concerns to the Manager.
β’ Act as a technical resource for nonprofit accounting issues.
β’ Investigate accounting inquiries using authoritative guidance and draft memoranda.
β’ Keep abreast of accounting developments and revise policies, closing checklists, templates, and training materials.
β’ Create and deliver internal training as well as sanctioned client-facing education.
β’ Transform recurring review findings into coaching, job aids, case studies, and refresher training sessions.
β’ Support role-specific learning and the onboarding process for new team members.
β’ Develop reusable curricula and maintain courses and resources in the content library or learning platform.
β’ Prepare CPE content and ensure documentation aligns with AICPA/NASBA standards and firm policies.
β’ Assist in attendance verification, evaluations, certificates, and record-keeping.
β’ Mentor accountants and reviewers on technical judgment, documentation, self-review, and addressing review comments.
β’ Organize assigned review work and training initiatives.
β’ Provide performance feedback on designated team members.
β’ Contribute materials for webinars, articles, and client resources.
β’ Maintain version control and update technical resources as guidance or procedures evolve.
β’ Utilize approved accounting, workflow, analytics, and AI tools to enhance efficiency.
β’ Validate outputs, confirm authoritative sources, document conclusions, and safeguard client information.
β’ Engage in process enhancements and related projects.
β’ Bachelor's degree in accounting.
β’ CPA license is mandatory.
β’ Comprehensive understanding of GAAP.
β’ At least three years of experience in nonprofit accounting.
β’ A minimum of five years of general ledger accounting experience.
β’ Preferred minimum of three years in public accounting.
β’ Experience in audit preparation and management.
β’ Capability to excel in a virtual, team-oriented environment.
β’ Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, project management, and communication abilities.
β’ Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and various accounting software platforms.
β’ Proven track record of successful remote work.
β’ Candidates must reside in the United States.
β’ Residents of California are currently ineligible due to business and regulatory constraints.
