This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +3 more states.
• Oversee and expand a portfolio of municipal water and wastewater accounts using both direct and indirect sales strategies.
• Create and implement territory sales plans that align with the growth objectives of Solenis.
• Discover new municipal opportunities through bidding processes, contract renewals, and competitive conversions.
• Collaborate with Bid Management, Pricing, and Technical teams to support and influence municipal chemical bids.
• Establish, nurture, and manage relationships with distributors, agents, and channel partners.
• Enhance channel performance through joint sales planning, training, and development of opportunities.
• Ensure channel partners effectively communicate Solenis products, value propositions, and technical resources.
• Monitor pricing discipline, adherence to contracts, and market coverage within channels.
• Act as the primary commercial liaison for municipal stakeholders.
• Advocate for treatment chemicals, monitoring programs, and technical services.
• Collaborate with Technical Service, Supply Chain, Pricing, and Marketing to provide comprehensive solutions.
• Coordinate plant trials, system optimizations, and performance assessments.
• Provide market insights regarding competitor activities, customer needs, and emerging trends.
• Maintain precise CRM data, sales forecasts, and opportunity pipelines.
• Track funnel activities, contract renewals, and metrics related to channel performance.
• Communicate potential risks, opportunities, and growth initiatives.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Chemistry, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3–7+ years of sales experience, ideally in municipal water/wastewater, industrial chemicals, or technical solutions selling.
• Proven track record of success in selling through indirect channels or distributors.
• Strong understanding of municipal procurement processes and public-sector sales.
• Exceptional skills in relationship-building, negotiation, and presentation.
• Willingness to travel within the designated territory.
• Preferred: Experience with water treatment chemicals, including coagulants, disinfectants, polymers, and corrosion/scale inhibitors.
• Preferred: Knowledge of NSF, AWWA, and regulatory compliance standards.
• Preferred: Experience in influencing bid strategies and contract negotiations.
• Technical aptitude in solution-based or consultative sales approaches.
