Associate Manager, Content Production & Delivery

📋 Description

• Take charge of the daily health and quality of LMS content production workflows, emphasizing Canvas, course-level configuration, HTML/CSS styling, and lesson assembly.

• Ensure that learning products are consistently structured, presented, and behave uniformly across LMS courses.

• Maintain and enhance workflows that convert structured content from Word through XML and RSuite into PDF, EPUB, and LMS outputs.

• Identify and resolve intricate content transformation, formatting, configuration, and rendering challenges.

• Design, test, and implement enhancements to publishing automation and production workflows adhering to established standards.

• Conduct regression testing following any workflow or system modifications and collaborate with Technology colleagues when broader system changes are necessary.

• Serve as an escalation point for Content Production Specialists and other stakeholders when complex production challenges emerge.

• Offer practical guidance, training, and mentorship in content management and production workflows.

• Implement accessibility and usability standards across digital outputs.

• Keep detailed workflow documentation and production standards up to date.

• Collaborate with Content Technology colleagues to address cross-system LMS configuration and rendering problems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in content production, digital publishing, or publishing operations, demonstrating strong ownership of intricate production workflows.

• Familiarity with Canvas and/or similar learning management systems, including course configuration and troubleshooting.

• Solid practical knowledge of HTML and CSS, with the capability to diagnose course-level display, structure, and accessibility concerns.

• Experience with Common Cartridge and QTI standards, or similar standards used for packaging and transferring digital learning content.

• Strong skills in workflow optimization, including experience in designing, testing, and implementing improvements to publishing processes or automation.

• Proven ability to diagnose complex production or rendering issues across systems and develop sustainable solutions.

• Working knowledge of structured content and XML-based publishing pipelines.

• Experience validating lesson assembly and course rendering across various browsers and devices.

• Ability to work effectively across Editorial, Production, Quality Review, and Technology teams.

• Evidence of mentoring, training, or assisting colleagues with production processes and technical problem-solving.

• Strong analytical skills, initiative, and the capability to work independently while recognizing when to escalate issues.
