This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +2 more states.
• Collaborate with the Generalist team and department leadership to provide practical HR guidance and coaching to firm managers.
• Assist in resolving conflicts, managing performance, utilizing coaching tools, developing retention strategies, and handling employee separations.
• Facilitate daily service delivery by preparing materials, coordinating follow-ups, maintaining documentation, tracking deadlines, and escalating complex issues.
• Aid in the administration of firm policies by drafting new policies and suggesting updates based on HR best practices, business requirements, and legislative changes.
• Address inquiries from employees and managers alongside the Generalist team.
• Oversee firm-wide job descriptions and collaborate with managers to create and revise them.
• Support the operations staff performance review process.
• Handle performance review inquiries, assess input, and ensure that ratings and comments are consistent, fair, and compliant with legal standards.
• A Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or a closely-related field, technical training, or equivalent professional experience.
• 1-3 years of experience in human resources within a professional services setting.
• Familiarity with employment laws and regulations pertaining to employee management, risk mitigation, and regulatory compliance.
• Proven ability to work independently and foster quality relationships within a team.
• Capable of thriving in a team-oriented setting, whether leading or contributing to departmental initiatives.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to cultivate and maintain effective working relationships with employees across all levels.
• Proficient in communicating information with diplomacy and tact while ensuring confidentiality and aiding in conflict resolution.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Familiarity with or the ability to quickly learn HRIS and similar applications for data entry, research, and reporting.
• Openness to learning and adapting to evolving technologies.
