Associate Field Service Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Collaborate on-site with clients to pinpoint areas for operational enhancements and alleviate challenges.

• Carry out field service duties, which include diagnosing technical problems and performing certified on-site troubleshooting.

• Compile material lists for service operations, ensuring that all materials, components, and equipment conform to quality standards and are readily available.

• Implement installation and commissioning, maintenance, repairs, expansions, upgrades, retrofits, end-of-life services, and replacements.

• Foster and uphold positive relationships with customers to boost satisfaction.

• Recognize potential new sales prospects while addressing customer requirements and relay them internally.

• Detect potential equipment malfunctions early and propose corrective measures.

• Recommend product and quality enhancements.

• Offer suggestions to management for enhancing operations and customer service.

• Adhere to safety protocols and uphold safe work and environmental practices.

• Promptly report unsafe practices and incidents.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Certificate in Skilled Trades (preferably in electrical and electronics) along with OSHA 30 certification is mandatory.

• Proficiency in interacting and communicating (both written and verbal) information to various levels within the organization.

• Competence in utilizing Microsoft Office applications.

• Experience in Project Management using MS Project or Excel is preferred.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines for administrative tasks.

• Candidates must possess work authorization that allows them to be employed by ABB in the US.
