This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +1 more state.
• Assist in the installation, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of Leica Biosystems instruments.
• Contribute to maximizing instrument efficiency and minimizing customer downtime.
• Provide an exceptional customer experience through clear communication and timely follow-ups.
• Comply with Leica Biosystems quality and compliance regulations.
• Collaborate with Field Service Engineers, technical support, applications, and commercial teams to address technical challenges.
• Facilitate dependable diagnostic workflows.
• Operate remotely within the designated territory as part of the Field Service Team.
• Report directly to the Regional Field Service Manager.
• 0-1 years of experience in a technical field.
• Basic mechanical, electrical, electronic, laboratory, biomedical, or instrumentation troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and internal teams while developing the capability to work independently in a field service setting.
• A valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
• Capability to regularly lift, move, slide, raise, and/or place up to 50 lbs. without assistance.
• Ability to stand, walk (for extended periods), sit, squat, kneel, ascend and descend stairs, and reach with hands and arms.
• Willingness to travel up to 90% by flying and/or driving, including overnight stays.
