This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.
• Oversee daily workforce operations, including technician schedules, paid time off (PTO), and emergency on-call arrangements.
• Collaborate with dispatchers to enhance technician scheduling, service efficiency, adherence to schedules, and completion of contracted work.
• Examine technician timecards, implement corrections, and adhere to weekly payroll deadlines.
• Lead and promote field safety initiatives.
• Engage in technician recruitment, onboarding, training, and ongoing professional development.
• Mentor technicians on performance, productivity, and customer service outcomes.
• Recognize technician strengths and areas for development.
• Manage technician performance through coaching, feedback, and corrective actions in conjunction with the District Manager.
• Analyze district performance and operational metrics with the District Manager to identify areas for improvement.
• Assist in controlling operational expenses while supporting sales and profitability objectives.
• Address parts availability, shipping, and delivery challenges in collaboration with the Parts Department.
• Foster relationships with customers and key stakeholders.
• Investigate customer issues, determine root causes, and devise solutions.
• Participate in service vehicle inventory assessments and formulate compliance action plans.
• Collaborate with fleet management to maintain records of district vehicles and drivers.
• Support workforce planning, PTO scheduling, attendance oversight, and staffing requirements.
• An associate degree and a minimum of two years in people management or relevant field-service leadership experience, OR a combination of education and professional experience equivalent to a bachelor’s degree.
• A valid driver’s license and an acceptable motor vehicle record.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and effectively communicating in English.
• Capacity to work from and regularly travel throughout the Moorestown, New Jersey service area.
• Authorization to work in the United States without current or future immigration sponsorship.
• Preferred: Experience in commercial HVAC, refrigeration, mechanical services, facilities management, or another field-service sector.
• Preferred: Previous experience in leading HVAC/R technicians or another skilled trades workforce.
• Preferred: Strong understanding of scheduling, dispatch, workforce planning, and field-service operations.
• Preferred: Experience in reviewing performance metrics and utilizing data to enhance productivity, service quality, and profitability.
• Preferred: Proven success in meeting customer expectations and achieving business goals.
• Preferred: Experience in budget management, operational expenses, or profit-and-loss performance.
• Preferred: Strong skills in coaching, decision-making, and problem-solving.
• Preferred: Ability to stay organized and make sound decisions in a fast-paced service environment.
