This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop and implement a regional strategy that aligns with national priorities and launch objectives.
• Identify key institutions, thought leaders, and referral networks throughout the East region.
• Recognize and address obstacles related to disease awareness, specialist referrals, genetic testing, genetic counseling, and connections to treatment-capable facilities.
• Establish and nurture compliant relationships with national and regional experts, center leaders, and influential practices.
• Design and execute approved national and regional peer-to-peer education initiatives.
• Identify qualified advisors and, upon approval, promotional faculty.
• Gather and synthesize aggregate, non-patient-specific insights from the field.
• Integrate insights into regional business strategies and recommend and support suitable actions.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the disease, treatment options, evidence, and competitive environment.
• Act as the regional relationship lead for authorized interactions with local and regional advocacy groups.
• Direct the commercial thought-leader engagement strategy for key congresses and professional society meetings.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Medical Affairs, Account Managers, Market Access, Patient Services, and other field partners.
• Assist in account planning and operational execution while upholding functional responsibilities.
• Report safety information and product complaints following required company protocols.
• Take on post-approval promotional responsibilities, which include support for promotional faculty and speaker-programs, education consistent with labeling, and feedback and content optimization for launches.
• A Bachelor’s degree is required.
• A minimum of eight years of relevant biopharmaceutical experience, encompassing field marketing, TLL, market development, product marketing, thought-leader engagement, or a similar strategic field position.
• Recent experience in rare or ultra-rare diseases, neurology, neuromuscular diseases, genetics, or diagnostics is highly preferred.
• Proven experience in pre-launch and launch phases, including the ability to operate within defined pre- and post-approval engagement frameworks.
• Capability to work independently and compliantly in a field role without a pre-established franchise structure.
• Strong clinical and scientific knowledge for credible discussions about disease states with senior specialists.
• Leadership qualities, strategic thinking, sound judgment, and the ability to translate ambiguity into an actionable field plan.
• Exceptional relationship-building abilities and executive presence with senior clinicians, professional organizations, and cross-functional colleagues.
• Disciplined judgment concerning commercial and medical role boundaries and pre- and post-approval engagement regulations.
• Advanced analytical skills to map influence networks, diagnostic and referral processes, and regional prospects; capable of generating concise, actionable aggregate insights.
• Excellent written, verbal, facilitation, and presentation skills.
• Experience with advisory boards and overseeing the execution and quality of disease-state programs prior to approval and branded speaker programs post-approval.
• Proficiency in CRM, insight management, virtual engagement, and standard business platforms.
• Commitment to maintaining documentation quality, privacy, and adherence to company policies.
• Willingness and ability to travel over 50% of the time, including significant overnight and occasional weekend travel.
• Ability to attend key national and regional congresses, advisory boards, and evening programs as business needs dictate.
• A valid driver’s license and the ability to meet company fleet, driving, and travel requirements.
• Must reside in the Eastern U.S. within reasonable distance of a major hub airport; preference for Northeast or Mid-Atlantic locations.
