This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take charge of the daily operations of the SEO Specialist team, including the intake, triage, and prioritization of SEO tasks and requests.
• Directly supervise Lead SEO Specialists and SEO Specialists, ensuring effective staffing, workload distribution, quality of output, and adherence to delivery timelines.
• Oversee and mentor the Specialist responsible for pre-launch SEO on web projects.
• Manage pre-launch SEO deliverables such as technical setup, migration checklists, redirect mapping, and information architecture reviews.
• Act as the primary contact and quality reviewer for pre-launch SEO efforts, collaborating with Web, Development, UX, and Project Management teams.
• Conduct SEO audits across the department, encompassing scoping, resource allocation, execution oversight, and final quality assessments.
• Provide pre-sales SEO assistance, including audits, technical scoping, and SEO contributions for pitches, RFPs, and proposals.
• Oversee the management and delivery of signed SEO products from initiation through to completion.
• Collaborate with the Director of SEO Operations on capacity planning, staffing forecasts, escalations, and departmental priorities.
• Establish, refine, and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Quality Assurance (QA) standards.
• Escalate complex or critical technical SEO challenges.
• Work closely with SEO Strategists, Content, UX, Development, Sales, and Media teams.
• Provide reports and status updates to the Director of SEO Operations.
• Identify process and workflow deficiencies and promote continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, and professional development planning.
• Ensure that work aligns with current search trends, algorithm updates, LLM/AI search behaviors, and technical SEO best practices.
• Oversee SEO projects and coordinate internal resources and Sales to define short-term SEO projects.
• Manage client communications and project management tasks as necessary.
• Supervise the internal Link Building service.
• Manage team resources and maintain internal partner databases.
• Perform additional assigned duties.
• 5–7+ years of SEO experience, covering technical SEO, audits, pre-launch/migration SEO, and pre-sales support.
• Demonstrated experience in managing a team, inclusive of other managers/leads.
• Strong comprehension of the complete SEO lifecycle: strategy, execution, quality assurance, reporting, and refinement.
• Ability to effectively manage day-to-day team operations at scale.
• Proven success in collaborating with Sales or New Business teams on pitches, proposals, or scoping activities.
• Capacity to handle multiple concurrent projects, competing priorities, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills suitable for pre-sales and client-facing environments.
• High proficiency in Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, Botify/DeepCrawl, SEOClarity/BrightEdge, and standard SEO tools.
• Advanced skills in spreadsheets, including formulas, data manipulation, and trend analysis.
• Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and popular CMS platforms such as WordPress, Shopify, Magento, and BigCommerce.
• Experience collaborating with Development, UX, and Project Management teams during web launches and migrations.
• Must reside in the USA.
