Freelance SEO/GEO Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Conduct research on keywords and prompts for both traditional search engines and AI-driven search platforms.

• Develop editorial strategies based on keyword and topic clusters.

• Create SEO content briefs for external writers.

• Spot content deficiencies and new topic possibilities.

• Optimize page titles, meta descriptions, headings, internal linking structures, and other page elements within WordPress.

• Enhance existing website copy for keywords, search intent, and overall structure.

• Prepare analyses, reports, and presentation materials for regular client meetings.

• Evaluate the SEO status of client websites and offer SEO support for launches, relaunches, and migrations.

• Identify optimization prospects and formulate specific action recommendations.

• Perform market and competitor analyses.

• Collaborate with the SEO Manager and teams in editorial, web development, and project management.

• Check crawling, indexing, redirects, canonical tags, and status codes.

• Assess and monitor SEO performance using Google Search Console and SISTRIX.

• Analyze ranking declines and traffic drops.

• Keep track of new and lost backlinks and add directory listings.

• Examine visibility in Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Gemini.

• Create initiatives to enhance visibility in AI search systems (GEO).

⛳️ Requirements

• Several years of SEO experience, preferably in an agency setting or managing multiple client projects concurrently.

• Proficient in Google Search Console, SISTRIX, and widely used crawling tools such as Screaming Frog.

• Strong grasp of technical SEO and WordPress.

• Experience with GEO and visibility in AI search systems.

• Prior experience working remotely and utilizing digital communication and project management tools.

• Dependable, with the capability to prioritize tasks across various projects and meet deadlines.

• Organized, self-motivated working style with a passion for team coordination.

• Excellent German language proficiency, both written and oral.

• A bonus: experience with websites in the legal or consulting fields.
