This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Collaborate with Mirum stakeholders to develop account and territory strategies aimed at enhancing customer understanding of payer policies and the Mirum Access Plus framework.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on reimbursement and access concerning Mirum therapies, encompassing payer policies, prior authorizations, denials, appeals, and peer-to-peer interactions.
• Evaluate and communicate insights regarding the reimbursement and access experiences.
• Provide education to healthcare provider (HCP) office staff on Mirum Access Plus and related access procedures.
• Deliver patient-specific education on payer policies to facilitate prior authorizations and appeals for qualifying patients.
• Work alongside MAP supervisors and HCP accounts to address case-management requirements.
• Resolve access-related issues for HCP accounts and identify opportunities for operational enhancements.
• Conduct business reviews focused on access with high-volume HCP accounts.
• Participate in weekly regional team meetings to share access trends and RAS activities.
• Contribute to the enhancement and training of MAP Patient Navigators through feedback, call calibration, and educational initiatives.
• Create compliant, customer-focused reimbursement educational resources.
• Tackle complex case challenges through leadership and cross-functional collaboration.
• Ensure the accuracy of information flow by mastering case data management.
• Adhere to all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Execute other assigned tasks and projects as necessary.
• Bachelor's degree in business, science, or a related discipline.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
• At least 4 years of experience with specialty products in the orphan or rare disease sectors.
• Comprehensive understanding of the payer landscape, payer accounts, and market access experience.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
• Preferred 3 years of experience in field reimbursement, patient access and support, payer account management, or market access strategy and operations.
• High proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint is essential.
• Strong ability to anticipate and effectively resolve issues.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills that are clear, accurate, and concise.
• Capacity to organize and prioritize tasks efficiently.
• Flexibility in working with diverse individuals, processes, and systems in a complex environment.
• Ability to multitask and stay responsive to both internal and external customers during business travel.
• Skill in influencing without direct authority and collaborating across various functions.
