Associate Director, PMO

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Lead and oversee creative and strategic projects/programs

• Create staffing plans at both program and client levels

• Deliver reports on program and client health, status, risks, and milestones

• Develop plans for issue mitigation

• Establish and implement onboarding strategies

• Manage the billability of the project management team

• Conduct performance evaluations and set goals for Project Coordinators, Project Managers, and Senior Project Managers

• Analyze root causes of issues and escalations

• Facilitate retrospectives and communicate results to stakeholders

• Work collaboratively with the portfolio team on client roadmaps and improvement initiatives

• Cultivate the development of direct reports and provide coaching and mentorship

• Ensure process compliance and address resistance

• Review project deliverables and offer constructive feedback

• Prioritize and manage team workload effectively

• Oversee team goals, objectives, and escalations

• Identify program-level risks in advance

• Monitor program health, including budget, scope, and timeline

• Advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion through inclusive practices and bias management

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education combined with professional experience is required

• 7+ years of pertinent experience

• Proven experience in delivering and managing strategic projects and programs within an advertising agency setting

• Capability to lead projects that are high in complexity and/or visibility

• Knowledge and experience in program management

• Expertise in executing all types of projects

• Experience dealing with ambiguity and guiding others

• Advanced skills in risk management

• Proficient in stakeholder management

• Advanced capabilities in reporting and program-level financial management

• Ability to present work and create complex estimates and timelines with limited information
