This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +1 more state.
• Provide education on disease states and products using approved resources to empower patients and their caregivers.
• Inform account nurses and office staff about the Patient Education Manager role and its service model.
• Organize patient-facing programs and deliver presentations during internal meetings and calls.
• Act as a liaison to access teams and partners to address specific patient needs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, sharing insights about the territory and strategic recommendations.
• Conduct approved educational programs in person and via webinars for patients, families, and caregivers.
• Enhance patient engagement strategies and educational materials.
• Address customer inquiries, provide education and support, and connect them with available resources.
• Complete necessary documentation and track essential metrics.
• Communicate advocacy insights with Corporate Affairs teams.
• Identify, develop, and implement a multidisciplinary team approach to ensure a successful product or disease launch.
• Interact with patient advocacy groups.
• Participate in domestic travel, phone-based meetings, and virtual meetings.
• Must reside in Houston, TX or Phoenix, AZ.
• Hold a valid U.S. driver’s license with a driving record that meets company standards.
• A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college is required.
• Advanced scientific training or academic credentials demonstrating strong clinical expertise is preferred.
• Registered Nurse license is mandatory.
• Knowledge and experience related to genetic conditions are highly desirable.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Minimum of 12 years of related experience, including support for patients with Rare Disease.
• At least 2 years of field-based experience in the biopharmaceutical industry is preferred.
• A successful history of delivering results that meet or exceed set objectives.
• Familiarity with the insurance and payor landscape as well as the U.S. reimbursement process.
• Prior experience with product launches is preferred.
• Ability to work efficiently and adapt quickly under resource constraints.
• Capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively within a diverse team.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, written, and verbal skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 30% as required.
• Capability to manage ambiguity, navigate complex situations, and adopt creative, solution-oriented approaches.
• Strong passion for patient care and meticulous attention to detail concerning policies and procedures.
