This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +1 more state.
• Provide education about disease states and Ionis products, utilizing approved materials for designated indications.
• Assist and empower both patients and caregivers throughout their treatment journey.
• Educate nursing staff and office personnel on the role and service model of the Patient Education Manager.
• Conduct patient-oriented programs and present during internal meetings and conference calls.
• Act as a liaison for access teams and partners to meet specific patient needs.
• Participate in cross-functional teams and share insights from regional and territory experiences.
• Deliver approved educational programs both in-person and through webinars to patients, families, and caregivers.
• Enhance patient engagement strategies and refine educational materials.
• Address customer inquiries, offer education and support, and direct them to available resources.
• Fulfill documentation requirements and monitor essential metrics.
• Complete necessary training and adhere to corporate and industry policies.
• Share advocacy insights with Corporate Affairs teams.
• Identify, develop, and implement a multidisciplinary team approach to ensure a successful disease/product launch.
• Must reside in Houston, TX or Phoenix, AZ.
• Possess a valid U.S. driver’s license and maintain a driving record in accordance with company standards.
• A bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college is mandatory.
• Registered Nurse certification is required.
• Advanced scientific training or academic credentials that demonstrate strong clinical knowledge are essential.
• Familiarity and experience with genetic conditions are highly preferred.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively across different functions and with various internal and external stakeholders.
• A minimum of 12 years of relevant experience, including supporting patients within the Rare Disease sector.
• Preferred candidates should have at least 2+ years of field-based experience in the biopharmaceutical industry.
• A demonstrated history of achieving results that meet or exceed set objectives is required.
• Understanding of the insurance and payer landscape, as well as the U.S. reimbursement process, is essential.
• Previous experience in product launches is preferred.
• Ability to work efficiently and flexibly under resource constraints, showcasing a results-oriented mindset.
• Must be capable of working independently and collaboratively within a diverse team environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills are necessary.
• Willingness to travel up to 30% as required.
• Competence in managing ambiguity, navigating complexity, and demonstrating creativity in problem-solving is crucial.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must.
