Associate Director – Learning Design

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky.

📋 Description

• Direct, oversee, and facilitate the analysis, planning, design, and development of learning experiences.

• Identify, assess, and resolve intricate business challenges through targeted learning interventions.

• Review contractual obligations and create as well as execute an Annual Training Plan.

• Provide consultation and design change management strategies to enhance learner capabilities and operational excellence.

• Lead collaborative efforts to ensure training initiatives meet federal contract requirements.

• Manage a team of learning professionals conducting needs assessments and crafting learning experiences.

• Leverage learning technologies to implement solutions for performance improvement and professional development.

• Supervise consultation, design, and development processes with a customer-focused approach.

• Examine complex business issues utilizing both internal and external data sources.

• Identify subject matter experts and formulate recommendations and action plans for learning solutions.

• Perform needs assessments to identify suitable solutions.

• Align learning interventions with the corporate vision, Design Thinking principles, and Adult Learning Theory.

• Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and devise measurement strategies to assess business impact.

• Select, develop, and evaluate team members.

• Counsel executives on functional learning strategies.

• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs.

• Exercise independent judgment on complex matters and operate with minimal supervision.

• Support Humana’s initiatives to secure and transition into new business opportunities.

⛳️ Requirements

• U.S. citizenship is required.

• Must successfully obtain interim approval for government security clearance (NBIS - National Background Investigation Service).

• Current residency outside of Puerto Rico is required.

• Bachelor’s degree in Adult Education, Business, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or a related field.

• A minimum of 6 years of strategic learning experience in healthcare or similar industries.

• At least 2 years of project leadership experience, preferably in training development or strategic program management.

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in change management consulting related to human readiness.

• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects effectively.

• Proficient in developing, managing, and delivering training programs and materials.

• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills are essential.

• Ability to interpret and apply contract requirements pertaining to training.

• Competent in stakeholder communication, including formal reporting and presentations.

• Capable of leading cross-functional teams and collaborating across organizational lines.

• Strong strategic influence and analytical skills.

• Willingness and ability to work consistently from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time.

• Preferred: experience with TRICARE, Veterans Affairs, or government healthcare settings.

• Preferred: familiarity with Agile methodologies.

• Preferred: Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Learning, Education, Human Resources, or a related field.

• Preferred: knowledge of federal healthcare regulations and contract compliance.

• Preferred: advanced proficiency in learning management systems and eLearning authoring tools.

• Home internet service with a minimum of 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload speed is necessary.

• Ability to work from a dedicated space without ongoing interruptions.
