This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +2 more states.
• Lead a team of experts in access processes, reimbursement challenges, and patient assistance programs for healthcare providers (HCPs) and healthcare organizations (HCOs).
• Collaborate across various functions including Field Sales, Marketing, Market Access, Public Affairs, State and Government Affairs, as well as Trade and Specialty Pharmacy Accounts.
• Train, educate, guide, and supervise Field Access Managers.
• Implement the field access strategy and oversee the performance of the Field Access Management Team.
• Gain insights into regional payor and Medicaid coverage and provide market access education utilizing approved materials.
• Uphold standard operating procedures related to Hub operations, specialty pharmacy, Field Access Managers, and interactions with field sales teams.
• Deliver proactive field-based access education to both internal and external stakeholders.
• Identify and inform stakeholders about access challenges and share successful outcomes.
• Convey technical expertise regarding patient enrollment, payer coverage, prior authorization, appeals, patient support programs, and Hub operations.
• Engage in cross-functional meetings to ensure alignment on the access landscape, issues, and field access strategy.
• Coach, mentor, and motivate team members.
• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Over 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech sectors.
• At least 3 years of experience in patient support, healthcare sales or operations, project management, or reimbursement support.
• Strong understanding of health insurance frameworks, including Medicare Part B, Medicaid, and commercial insurance.
• Familiarity with benefit verification, prior authorization, and appeals processes.
• Proficiency in pharmaceutical compliance and HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Capability to engage and influence various stakeholders across teams and disciplines.
• Sound understanding of hub and patient support operations.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a hybrid work environment.
• Willingness to travel 30-35%.
• Must live in the designated territory or metropolitan area.
• Valid driver's license is required.
