πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ Oversee a central operations team at headquarters tasked with managing global project deliverables across a complex, multi-country fixed amount award.

β€’ Establish milestone management systems, trackers, standard operating procedures, training, and capacity-building resources.

β€’ Offer comprehensive program management and operational support.

β€’ Review, monitor, prompt, document, and submit project milestones and deliverables.

β€’ Provide orientation, training, and troubleshooting assistance to both country and HQ teams.

β€’ Organize monthly deliverable-tracking meetings and relay milestone status to project and departmental leadership.

β€’ Collaborate with project leadership, strategic information, finance, technical leaders, country teams, and various other departments.

β€’ Identify, emphasize, and mitigate operational and project risks.

β€’ Create and uphold training materials and tools, including leading webinars, review meetings, and on-demand training sessions.

β€’ Coordinate management, compliance, performance standards, and milestone-management systems with the PMT and project management and operations teams.

β€’ Engage with senior leadership and departmental operations teams to minimize risks and ensure adherence to financial and administrative processes.

β€’ Act as the primary contact for addressing global milestone and deliverable issues and escalate matters as necessary.

β€’ Supervise designated management and operations staff.

β€’ Potentially provide program management support for selected core-funded initiatives.

β€’ Undertake additional duties as assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

β€’ Bachelor's Degree or its International Equivalent in Business Administration, Public Health, Social Sciences, or a Related Field.

β€’ Project Management (PM) Certification is preferred.

β€’ A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years in a management role.

β€’ Proven experience in managing and implementing USG and global health projects.

β€’ Experience in large, multi-country global projects is essential.

β€’ Required experience with large, fixed amount/priced awards or global awards with a significant focus on managing fixed amount/priced sub-agreements.

β€’ Background in a non-governmental organization (NGO) is necessary.

β€’ Demonstrated understanding of fixed award/priced mechanisms, general contracting, and reporting obligations.

β€’ Strong knowledge of the design, implementation, and management of sector-specific and/or multi-sector/international development projects/programs funded by the US government or other international donors.

β€’ Familiarity with donor planning and reporting systems.

β€’ Knowledge of business development processes, particularly proposal development, within the context of an international NGO.

β€’ Excellent written and verbal communication capabilities.

β€’ Cultural sensitivity and awareness of the political and ethical contexts in countries outside the US.

β€’ Fluency in English is required.

β€’ Proficient with personal computers/laptops and Microsoft applications (Office 365, SharePoint, Skype/Zoom/Teams, Power BI).

β€’ Ability to spend extended periods looking at a computer screen and performing repetitive tasks on a keyboard.

β€’ Capacity to sit and stand for long durations.

β€’ Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 5 lbs.

β€’ Travel requirements are less than 10%.
