This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +3 more states.
• Spearhead the enterprise strategy for application-to-data integration and establish the technical roadmap.
• Define and oversee standards, frameworks, and architectural principles for integration across various applications and data platforms.
• Facilitate alignment among DT application engineering, Data Engineering, Analytics, Architecture, Cybersecurity, and Infrastructure teams.
• Develop a strategy for APIs, event streams, ETL/ELT pipelines, data replication, and cloud-native integration services.
• Identify integration risks, redundant interfaces, architectural gaps, and opportunities to enhance reuse and standardization.
• Review and endorse significant integration designs through architecture governance processes.
• Ensure that cybersecurity, resiliency, compliance, and performance standards are integrated into the design of integrations.
• Influence multi-year roadmaps for applications and data platforms to maintain technical consistency.
• Mentor and guide architects, senior engineers, and technical leads in integration architecture and data interface design.
• Lead cross-team initiatives to address complex integration challenges across multiple systems.
• Act as the senior technical authority for application integration with enterprise data and AI platforms.
• Serve as the primary point of contact between DT Application teams and the Data, Analytics & AI organization.
• Oversee intricate cross-team engineering projects that support cloud modernization, platform consolidation, and critical analytics and AI endeavors.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field with at least 10 years of experience.
• Proven experience leading large-scale application-data integration efforts.
• Advanced proficiency in APIs, event-driven architectures, data pipelines, microservices, and integration platforms.
• Strong understanding of cloud services such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Experience in governing and aligning multiple technical organizations.
• Capability to design secure and compliant integration solutions within regulated environments.
• Exceptional skills in diagnosing and resolving intricate cross-system data flows and interoperability challenges.
• A Master’s degree in a technical discipline is preferred.
• Experience in aerospace, defense, or other regulated sectors is preferred.
• Familiarity with enterprise data governance and metadata management is preferred.
• Experience designing integrations for data lakes, lakehouses, and event streaming systems, including platforms like Snowflake and Databricks.
• Professional certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect, AWS Solutions Architect Professional, TOGAF, or integration platform certifications are preferred.
• Experience leading enterprise modernization or cloud transformation initiatives is preferred.
