This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead teams in cost management to achieve project goals and meet client expectations.
• Act as the main commercial liaison for clients, stakeholders, consultants, and contractors.
• Conduct and supervise quantity surveying, cost control, budgeting, forecasting, and change management activities.
• Assist in the strategic and operational management of Cost Management and Project Controls services.
• Report on commercial status, risks, opportunities, and overall project performance.
• Promote best practices across project and program execution within the company.
• Enhance cost management procedures, processes, templates, and reporting tools.
• Perform staff performance evaluations and facilitate employee development.
• Set objectives and strategic direction for project teams.
• Mentor and coach talent while aiding in succession planning.
• Oversee commission financial performance, fee forecasts, resource planning, and profitability reporting.
• Formulate risk mitigation strategies and track key performance indicators.
• Apply delivery methodologies, systems, and best practices effectively.
• Assist with quality assurance and internal business management protocols.
• Provide guidance to clients on procurement strategies, contract management, capital planning, and commercial risk management.
• Foster relationships with clients, contractors, consultants, and internal teams.
• Engage in leadership meetings and create executive-level presentations and reports.
• Share updates regarding project performance, staffing, commercial status, and strategic initiatives.
• Contribute to business development, proposal drafting, interviews, and client engagement efforts.
• Document and disseminate lessons learned and benchmarking insights.
• Attend industry-related networking events.
• Comply with relevant SOX control responsibilities.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Cost Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• At least 8 years of experience in cost management, quantity surveying, commercial management, or project controls within the construction sector.
• Extensive experience in life sciences, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, laboratory, research & development, advanced manufacturing, healthcare, or other highly specialized construction projects.
• Proven track record of leading cost management teams and managing client relationships on complex capital programs.
• In-depth knowledge of cost planning, estimating, procurement, change management, contract administration, and commercial controls.
• Experience in developing and reviewing budgets, forecasts, cost reports, cash flow analyses, and final accounts.
• Exceptional leadership, presentation, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Capability to manage multiple projects, stakeholders, and priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Demonstrated ability to develop teams, foster continuous improvement, and provide outstanding client service.
• A graduate degree in Quantity Surveying, Cost Management, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
• Experience in construction consultancy is strongly preferred.
• RICS accreditation or equivalent professional certification is preferred.
