This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Oversee cost management services for primary clients or multiple clients

• Lead cost management teams, ensuring accountability and delivery

• Engage with clients, stakeholders, consultants, general contractors, and owner’s representatives at all project phases

• Execute quantity surveying, cost control, and change management throughout the project lifecycle

• Coordinate Turner & Townsend activities within the broader construction process

• Support the strategic and operational management of Cost Management and Project Controls Services

• Act as the initial point of contact for reporting on project commercial status

• Promote best practices and enhance cost management procedures, processes, templates, and deliverables

• Conduct staff performance evaluations and establish team strategy

• Mentor and coach talent

• Monitor commission margins, fee/resource forecasts, and financial reports using internal software

• Create priority plans, risk mitigation strategies, KPIs, management controls, and critical success factors

• Implement and uphold Business Management Systems, delivery methodologies, and tools

• Perform internal BMS audits and coordinate external certification audits

• Build market knowledge, act as a brand ambassador, and develop an opportunity pipeline

• Provide clients with advice on contracting, procurement strategy, capital planning, and reporting

• Take part in leadership meetings and prepare as well as deliver presentations

• Offer weekly updates on projects, initiatives, and staffing, while proposing solutions

• Identify opportunities for cross-selling and business development

• Create proposals and responses to RFPs

• Document commission knowledge and insights in internal databases

• Attend relevant networking events

• Comply with applicable SOX control responsibilities


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering, or a related construction field

• Graduate degree in quantity surveying, cost management, construction management, or engineering is preferred

• At least 8 years of pertinent experience in a cost management position within the construction industry

• Experience in construction consultancy is highly preferred

• Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Quantity Surveying

• RICS certification or equivalent accreditation

• Exceptional presentation, verbal, written, organizational, and communication skills

• Capacity to engage in a client-facing role

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
